Beit Ruth
Project not nearby
5 years ago in the evening hours I was sitting with several members of the SANSON RIDERS MC Tel Aviv club in our clubhouse in Givatayim (Niro Cafe) when suddenly an upset woman in her late 30's approached me and said "Niro I need to talk to you". She told me the story of her life and that she was hiding from her husband that lives in Jerusalem and that she was repeatedly beaten by him, and that she was living with her sister in Givatayim. She asked for the club's help in protecting her husband because she claims that the law enforcement agencies are not properly dealing with the violent situation, she is in... So we did.
One day I decided that, as a club, we would support organizations and shelters for women and girls at risk. We appointed Ben Keren, a member of the club, to launch the project. We contacted the association of "Michal Sela" several times and they did not get back to us, we contacted a shelter for battered women and they did not want us to know where the "shelter" was and we weren’t able to do anything with them. They were only talks and talks. Finally, Ben found a noble woman by the name of Ronit Lev Ari whose center of activity for many years is in NAMAT as well as in support centers for women at risk. We met with her and immediately realized that we had come to the right place and that the motto that a accompanies the meeting is “if we talk then we do it right". We named the project “Not Nearby”.
Project “Not Nearby”
We operated under the radar in certain cases so that "Tashala" beating men would not know we were there (criminal attorney and former police detective).
The highlight was today when we met with teenage girls at risk "Beit Ruth"
For the benefit of the meeting, we recruited our gun team from Support 37 (Samson Riders supporters) Boris the man "Boris Riders”, huge heart, armed with with his camera and smile and the relationship expert Avigdor Yazdi ,and finally, Shimon Lahav who gave the story of his early life as a child and his success in life with the help of good people along the way, not an eye remained dry.
The tour and the welcome were amazing, the rich refreshments and cold watermelons that cooled us down on a hot day in the valley. We toured the classrooms and rooms and the invested village provided by donors. The green corners, the design and art rooms and, also, the little factory of sweets that the girls make. Wahoo was amazing
Thanks to the young and old instructors, the headmistress of the Vard school, and the art teacher Iris, and of course to the headmistress of Beit Ruth, the woman who was so happy that we arrived, Mrs. Iris Tversky
The most thanks in the world goes to Mrs. "Spitz" Ronit Lev Ari (yes, that's the nickname we gave her, because she's a "Shpitz", don't talk, settle down).
And last but not least, to my younger brother Ben Keren, the club's Ass Kicker, who founded this blessed project and put up with my snooze.
And to finish, the trial of the club that was so suitable for today's 🎯
"Only those who love Daring" 🦊👊
